This post is written with the assumption that you’ve already decided to start on testosterone replacement therapy.

I have already covered what I think the optimal way to start TRT is here: What starting TRT looks like. Summary: testosterone cypionate or testosterone enanthate, typically 100-120 mg divided into twice weekly doses (eg 50mg on Mondays and Thursdays).

The reason you’re continuing to read this is because someone suggested that you might consider using testosterone gel or pellets or some other form instead. For most men, this is suboptimal for reasons we’ll cover below. Caveat: if you have some kind of extreme averse reason you can’t or won’t use needles, I’d rather have you on any form of TRT than none at all.
